And She Was Delivered Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

And She Was Delivered

Well, I have a friend
I do have a friend with a very strange birth date; 25 December
So he insist he was born on Christmas day
But I've always wondered how that could be so
Even though he's adamant it indeed was so
To me Christmas means everyone's out there making merry
So, I still don't see how a child can be born on such a day
Don't the nurses close delivery rooms too, for christmass, I mean?
But my friend insists, he was born on Christmas day
As for me I was born 17th of September
A direct consequence of Christmas activities, I guess
Though not much of a birth, as I would consider it
More of an eviction exercise by one Dr. Mohamed Abdullah
At the end, my mother got delivered from the pain I caused.
