I once looked through the window
Known for its scientific law,
Trying to know the world wide—
The universe spread outside,
To understand why we're here,
But the scene was far from clear.
I then looked through the window—
A kind of strange crystal ball
That spiritual we call,
And a different view I saw.
Both looked at same universe,
And yet the view was diverse.
None of two views was complete,
And differed more than would meet.
Both left out essential facts
And vast chunks of worthy tracts,
Both had followers their own,
Both with contentious bone!
We've now a jigsaw puzzle,
Putting them prone, a riddle!

Yes, taken to the extreme, both can bother you like S. If you know Isha Upanishad, this is the reason it recommends following both vidya and avidya, the path of knowledge, and of karma of Bhagavad-Gita. At times I find your comments very philosophical.

An excellent write. The two views have been presented brilliantly by the great Poet. A very perceptive and insightful poem. I concur with the thoughts of the Poet as embodied in the poem and the astute observation as conveyed in the Poet's Notes.
First, there is a joy of writing a poem, which is unconditional and intrinsic in nature. Then comes one of reading certain comments, not all, not in the least because they praise the labour, but because of the quality of comments. Now, the inference is yours, dear poet.
