And Things Change By Moment Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

And Things Change By Moment

And things change by moment.

Eyes closed was awake; wish was not,
The report reviewed genocides
Bosnia of Nineteen-ninety-five.

This devil took me there, travels
Meeting our children and my wife
In what was once known as Yugoslavia
After things that happened, had gone on
To them and to me and, to us all.

We met there in Nineteen Ninety two
They came of Chicago, USA
And I of UAE, from Dubai
After long stories; one was Evin.

Unlike pen, that sucks out everything
My lips are strange, hardly say anything
To those who are the closest; and I must.

Therefore if I leave, die
The least known is my child
Ask of dad and they know stories
Wrong: made-up by their mother.

We were there when war was
In Nineteen Ninety Two
And things changed by moment.

Once again in Nineteen Ninety Five
In Moscow to charter airplanes
And things changed by moment.

The Air Force Minister of Russia
Had to leave by sudden: “No meeting.”
And things changed by moment.

Oh how much is in heart
And hardly pen can write
And things change by moment.
