And Those Who Left Me Alone In Pain

Rating: 5.0

Great things take time, this I know,
With patience, I'll reap what I sow.
I am a strong believer in hard labour
And my strong belief does not waver.
Those who mock me and seem ahead,
Will be forgotten after they are dead.
But, a poet continues to live in the hearts
Of the lovely people when he departs.
I laboured hard when the others snored
And my hard labour won't be ignored.
I sacrificed my youth and nightly sleep,
I will not be left forever to weep.
Yes, the great souls are tested and tried
But, the fruit of their labour is not denied.
Those who invest their blood and sweat
Will be surely rewarded if not yet.
If there is truly the Kind Divine,
He will not waste the labour of mine,
He will bless me with success and fame,
He will put all my enemies to shame
And those who left me alone in pain
Shall witness my rise and grow insane.
