Angel Poem by Leslie Alexis

Angel

Even angels seek to die
For though immortal, they cry
And have no one to share their fears;
Only God can wipe their falling tears.

Even angels deserve to live
Though they live their lives to give;
War and death is their daily encounter.
For men rarely call them unless they suffer.

Even angels know great sorrow
Some really wish to not see tomorrow.
But angels know tomorrow might not be the same
Better or worse, smiles or tears, angels stay in the game.
