Angel In Darkness Poem by Andres Eduardo Torres

Angel In Darkness

Rating: 5.0

I reside deep within the darkness of man.
I have taken many scars of its presence.
The heaven I seek is beyond my grasp,
But the halo I earned brightens my essence.
The music I hear cleanses my soul,
Though the necro sounds empower all.
My dark, pristine skin so bright,
Burnin’ through other’s plight.

To continue the path of Darkness I cannot see,
And obtain the haven set by Thee.
The beings here are living the death of sin.
Thus they wish to live with Hades’ kin.
Man’s darkest horrors live
Here, in this desolate wasteland.
Many may think of this realm as an imaginative
Nature, but it is as real as the palm of my hand.

Though my body is pure as water,
My wings have disappeared.

I'm glad I got to read this. I enjoyed it, particularly the ending. Nice image when the wings vanish. L&T
