Obscure Thought Poem by Andres Eduardo Torres

Obscure Thought

Rating: 5.0

Damn, I’ve got an obscure thought;
A thought that has me caught;
It’s been dreading me so long;
The thought ain’t wrong;
My mind is consumed in a fog;
And for all those who didn’t figure it out,
this was just the prologue:

I see your face with all its grace;
Greater than time and space;
I dream of thee, but not illegally;
Dreams that show your great beauties;
I have seen Paris and Rome;
But I haven’t seen anything more
beautiful than what I found back home;
Your unique personality is free and pure;
Which could be my cure

I picture you seeing the world with me;
Viewing the greatest things ever seen;
(Probably with a couple ice-creams):
Beauties beyond your dreams;
I see the world in your eyes;
While your face is the sun in my skies

Time and time again;
I sit here wonderin’;
What do you like;
How do you feel;
You afraid of heights;
What’s your favorite meal;
Do you have a quick temper or a passive nature;
Do you forgive people or do you keep a hatred;
Do you like a comedy or a horror;
You like to stay home or be an explorer

I could of spit these lines;
but I rather rhyme;
What I’m trying to say during this time;
Is that I want you to be mine;
(and I ain’t lying’.)
