Angel Of Dream Poem by D.N. Rebb

Angel Of Dream

Her love is like an overflowing cornucopia
Offering an elaborate smorgasbord of kindness
With smiles representing the birth of spontaneity
Have you ever met someone so intuitively blessed?

She lives inconspicuous amongst the forgotten paupers
Serving instinctive empathy to those that are broken
She's fine print in anyone's biographical novel
Yet declines as young writers hold their desires open

Genuine commitments from her are at once carved in stone
Like Rosetta, she easily translates misspoken words
Everyone should have a peacemaker when both sides dispute
An extraordinary gift straight from our dear gracious Lord

When nobly honored, she humbly credits all around her
And would pass her own plate to ones who appear more hungry
To those fortunate to have been embraced within her hug
There's no superior place in the world I'd rather be

Exquisite angel of dream,
Why not accompany me?
I have yet so much to learn
Release these groundless fears free

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wanted to write a poem about a cornucopia (what a great word) , but it ended up about this fictional woman
