I once wanted it all
But now search no more
As I let inner peace soar
And watch others now crawl
I've learned to humbly idle
In these prosperous years
As simple truth appears
There's little that is so vital
I've had my share of lone tears
Have come to terms with the past
By previous fear, no longer harassed
And have achieved to persevere
I surely don't know every last of it
And frankly, just don't care
Have learned to toss, if in disrepair
And am finally content, I admit
Things are good, don't need to be great
I trust I've made amends with those
Whose judgements I first opposed
As not everything needs to be debated
Resentment only leads to pain
All faith heals, not just the devout ones
Forgiveness should not be left undone
As a little idle, I've righteously obtained
Much wisdom contained in this write! Thanks for sharing in your idle time!

Contentment. That should be the primary aim of life. And the prime achievement of life also. Liked this poem
