Angelic Monster Poem by Natasha Andeyi

Angelic Monster

Rating: 5.0

Silent, Not quite at night.
Sane, My state of mind.
Beauty, the scene of sight.
Lost, no intention of find.

Some giant inside, ant like on the outside.
Chaos within, calm on the out.
Back and forth, my path by the roadside.
Worry on the rise, the calm I now doubt.

You call out my name, my world I leave.
The sight you give, my breath is held.
Trouble I spell, my instincts never deceive.
Panic the type of room, lengthy the time we dwelled.

Life ceased being, those minutes that stood still.
Verdict giving, with no possibility of a trial.
Law giving, not considering what it kills.
Lethal state of mind. Some gods, your words are final.

Being human I ceased, another being took up.
Not one to second guess, All that is me is enough.
Mind made up from the start, why corrupt?
Considering self first, the world is that tough.

This being, not one for my choice before.
Though alive, a consequence of your choice.
This type I'll forever be, the promise I swore.
As long as I'm happy, the rest is background noise.
