Another day gone
And what have I to show?
Did I stay awhile with a friend
And share the things we know?
Did I meet someone new
And greet them in their day?
Did I do something for someone else
To help them on their way?
Did I share some knowledge
About the Love of God?
Did I walk a little way and smile
At someone with a nod?
All these thing I could have done
Yet, somehow, they did not
And still I live another day.
Will I somehow find a way
To stay with a friend or meet someone new
Or do something for someone
Or share the Love of God
Or walk a little way to smile at someone?
Will I?
Or will it be another day gone?
