Another Moon Poem by Stefano Dal Bianco

Another Moon

Rating: 3.5

I saw the brightest moon ever
rise from behind the mountain
and did nothing.
I didn't speak nor think
and felt something
but didn't want to.
I felt I wanted to fight feeling,
that I didn't want the moon for myself
and to give myself to the moon,
but to fix my gaze on another light,
rooted from the earth to the sky and reborn in me
and generated by the moon.

Translation: 2004, Gabriele Poole
