Apathy Poem by Uloia Norris Moore

Apathy

I fear not the dark
it has always been there
I fear not the light
for deliverance from here

I am though ashamed
that those whom so could
turn a few more from the dark
and into the light

That they know while building
more jails and shackling the lame

I speak not for the three in five
whom care
but for the two in five who's care
is for of guild

You're right James. There's a body of people out there who can't bring themselves to see that there but for fortune it could be them on the wrong end of the street, the wrong side of the bars. The distance from comfort to disaster is very short, and too many are unaware and thus unthinking, uncaring, and apathetic indeed! It always was and always will be this way though... Fine thoughts, expressed concisely..... I would have used 10 times as many words and still said less! ... The very best to you sir
