Apple Queen Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Apple Queen

Dispense not of me my apple queen, ruler of the branch
I am a peach a taste so sweet, together we are grand

Before the tree there was a seed with a story to unfold
Now full grown your arms have reached a peach tree past the grove

I am a peach my apple queen- I have a heart of gold
When I touch the branch of my true love- I feel not alone

Our fruit together is so sweet in time we are divine
Apple treats go very well with peaches side by side

In my dream where I have come from beneath the frosty snow
I will wait the warming of the sun to wake again us both

Our branches have grown together like in a forest never seen
I shall embrace my queen forever with love eternally
