April Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

April

The earth stirs beneath soft rain,
branches stretch,
unfolding green secrets
to a sky that cannot decide
between sun and storm.

The wind carries yesterday's cold,
but something new lingers-
a whisper in the air,
a promise in the mud,
footsteps of a season
arriving but not yet settled.
