Archer King in an unsolicited
attempt to promote sell services
approached with a ding a ling line
sales pitch pimp line stake out
pitching with his best bait line
''Why are they reading everything
else but not your book? ''
then pitched a hot on heels line
Archer King said ''What
are your thoughts on this?
I am sure you have questions -
I would love to answer them''
''When was the last time someone read
your book and wrote a review about it? ''

Hi Archer,
an interesting line, but it rings hollow,
not a baited line truth I could shallow,
it has no truth, merely a generalization,
a sweeping statement, hyperbole inaccurate;
no one is reading everyone else,
the millions and millions of authors,
all authors who have ever written,
all writers going back to the dawn;
of time and writing, the first languages
written words, the numbers are staggering,
an unclimbable unreadable Mt Everest of books;
perhaps the best book contains an insight code,
codes are not supposed to be read by the many
only the few, but insights into humanity appeal;
entertainment with elements into human
reasons responses emotions motivations
fascinate a desire to understand why why why;
this is an age of literature as a commodity,
a unit price, perhaps some books are written
for an audience unborn but sales now dominate;
a footnote in time for tomorrow,
perhaps we might even be in the same book,
but not pages chapters apart separate;
perhaps for some writing is just playing
having script fun, not everyone needs
a spotlight fame red carpet a day in the sun;
Warmest Regards Terence
