Art, And The Artist Poem by james watkin

Art, And The Artist

Art, all that for Beauty, broad-crowned
Is devoutly espressed
To no one estate, or
Royal domain belongs.
But to all the world; all of its
Canvasses, verses, songs.

Artist, for which Divinity
Who does live as well die
Who'd frown on, pointless
Laugh at, moreover
Those for his fame, a country's
With waring pride fight o're!
