As For All Other Life Forms Poem by Francis Duggan

As For All Other Life Forms

As for all other life forms the same for you and I
All of us humans are born to eventually die
We are only mortals but Nature lives on
And new life replaces those to time who have gone
The longest lived human life in real time a short span
On average a few years more for the woman than it is for the man
But Nature lives on and of her the amazing thing
That after her hibernation in Winter she blooms forth in Spring
Humans fade to time and do not live again
And only memories of their existence for a term does remain
But though the Seasons to Nature does come and does go
Time to her never does become a foe
And since human life in time is not a long span
Try to live for as long as you possibly can.
