As For Negligent Girls-Classmates Poem by Liza Sud

As For Negligent Girls-Classmates

As for negligent girls-classmates,
who miss lessons in their classrooms -
they should be slapped on the buttocks,
you should hold them in a tight grip,

and not let them become idle,
not to give them void indulgence,
to communicate with dullards
and disgrace the sailor's striped vest.

For the teacher is so loyal,
so patient is the teacher,
knows exactly - that is proper -
to beat strongly for omissions:

and the girl is crying thinly,
scared to come out of the thicket,
but the teacher is so gracious -
he knows how to wait with patience!
