As Short As My Temper Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

As Short As My Temper

Mr. Neighbor
Of the Hobbit height
Barely four feet eleven
But as petite is his insight
That your temper is driven
To the edges of rage
In this seering summer heat
Forgetting your senior age
Remain cordial in the street
Each day you say to him
'Please don't park on my driveway'
Still the chances are very slim
And he does it the next day.

'Sandpaper folks come in many sizes
but they still rub you the wrong way.'
