As Students Mature Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

As Students Mature

Rating: 5.0

As students mature, I would guide them
to reach specific goals that teaching brings,
encouraging them to reach for the stars,
and have an understanding of all worthwhile things.

Compassion and tolerance when needed
to lift a troubled and distressed heart,
and to emulate them during their entire life.
These things I'd like to impart.

I'd let no student's dreams be shattered,
No ideals be trampled to the ground.
I'd teach them to have faith in themselves
with visions of success in life I'd surround.

I'd tell them that living requires responsibilities,
that disappointments are followed by a new dawn,
that having a solid and bonafide education
will aid them during their entire life long.
