As The Morning Breaks Poem by Paul Reed

As The Morning Breaks

As the morning breaks
We go our separate ways
But always think of each other;
We do our own things
We get through our day
Never forgetting one another;
We both look ahead
To when the evening comes
And we can renew invisible tether;
For the journey home
Is our reward at last
Once again we are together
