when you become someone i miss

leaning over the

but keeping my feet on solid ground

wanting to leap into your ocean below
but i protect myself from being a casualty
-frightened to drown


afraid to slip
but wanting to

but every ounce of me needs you to stay


practicing for the ache

from my waiting heart

Leaning over the edge, but keeping my feet on solid ground. Wanting to leap into your ocean below, but i protect myself from being a casualty- frightened to drown. Afraid to slip, but wanting to slowly float away. Practicing for the ache as you drift further and further from my waiting heart. Those are my favorite lines. You've managed to capture the feeling of being painfully cautious quite well. Also: practicing for the ache as you drift...that line is a great illustration of such a common human tendency. Thanks for shaing.

Wow another really good write! I could actually feel the ache in my chest as I read this. I know what it's like to want to tell somone to stay but be to afraid to say it.
