I want to find love in an asteroid.
Ride its tail till I am all cinders and ash.
I may at some point be destroyed.
Because it all ends in a typical cache
A few carrier bags and a bottle of whisky
Love, after all, is a serpent eating itself.
Consuming a lie on a bed of inequity
Coiling up alone in the end by ourselves.
With our brains about to sodding -burst.
With your soul in the hands of a gipsy
Wild as a horse, you can bless being versed
In her talons, curses and even more whisky.
I have regrets, but few I'd care to change.
Love is a firestorm that must be purged.
Till your heart and mind are both deranged
After that, all is either nickel or gold immersed.
