At A Glance - Poem by Gangadharan nair Pulingat..
Here is my beautiful village
Where I came as a long time absentee
When I looked as a painful man
So long I missed this wonderful place
Here I find no old little footpath
Which we used to walk to the nearby school
With a lot of hope and happy talks
With little friends and and my own bag
Carrying a little umbrella in my childhood
Where now I misses the foot path
Happily sees a convenient roadway
The vehicles passing through the road
When I looked around to find someone
The men who lived with me for long years
No there is none the old men they missed
The world of eternity they travelled fast
Then I looked for the paddy field
Its greenery in this rainy season
The paddy seedlings are no more barren field
The flood took away all a man told me
The river made the havoc in flood time
The mutual trust is slowly lost within years
The man environment is quarrelled with
The intervention is big and after effect is mighty
Somewhere the road missed for the time being.
