At A Stop Sign There’s A Red Toyota Poem by Gert Strydom

At A Stop Sign There’s A Red Toyota

At a stop sign there’s a red Toyota
that halts and it’s as if
I see you behind the steering wheel,
but my thoughts play with me
and that car drives past
and I feel like driving to your work
but know that it’s silly
and know that the missing
will never end.
