At Least I Had 15 Minutes Of Fame Poem by Paula Glynn

At Least I Had 15 Minutes Of Fame

Starting writing at young twenty years old
Poems that sadly - but predictably - seldom sold
Writing though to become big, bad and bold
Eventually writing poetry books that faithfully sold.

Starting writing various genres of short stories
Writing of past, present and future glories
Dreamcatcher a short story collection
Where stories make an inspiring and spooky selection.

Imagination being unlimited and wonderful
Poems telling fascinating stories of good versus evil
From fabulous fiction to brutally biographical
Designed for children in some, adults in another.

Sticking to international publishing rules
So that some books are appropriate for schools
Others targeted for the adult audience
Where poems talk of romance and lovers.

Experience making biographies interesting
Made up stories fruity fun and serious
Yet always presented with excellence
The goal being timeless classics that prevail.

Legends that study English Literature
Do find fascination for the subject
Millions of poetry and story books over the world
Written and published since forever.

My small step into the vast geographical
World that is the publishing industry
Is full of hidden dangers: traps along the ground
Other talented writers unfortunately strangers.

I swim in shark infested waters
Needing to find land for my down-to-earth feet
Where I navigated water that was too deep
But now fortunate having found my steady feet.
