At Least In Defeat I Try To Get Square.. Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

At Least In Defeat I Try To Get Square..

At least in defeat I try to get square..

Repair a foul loss by something gained

And not succumb to the succubus of now, the enemies of now.

Build more and toil more, where enemies dare to destroy, I repair.

And when I feel my breath lessen, I dare, more and more.

And when I wade in the mud of the trenches, my feet strong put to the fore.
