At The Bar Poem by Randy McClave

At The Bar

There she gives out another wink
As she sits alone as a star,
Another man buys her another drink
As she sits alone at the bar.

I wonder what she is thinking
As she sits on the same bar stool,
While there she is looking and drinking
Knowing every man there is a fool.

Another man buys her another glass
And she answers his gift with a smile,
He likes the look of that lass
As he's been fantasizing for a while.

I wonder what line will be used
While she's drinking from her other cup,
She already knows how to be amused
She already knows how to pickup.

She treats the bar as a second home
Where she always heads to after dark,
When she is depressed and hates being alone
Unto that haven she will always embark.

Wonder what will be her destiny
What I wonder will be her ultimate fate,
Will she leave the bar later with her hand empty
Or will she leave later again with another date.
