At The Edge Of Horizon Standing Poem by Mohammad Younus

At The Edge Of Horizon Standing

At the edge of the horizon, standing,
Where the sky bends low to kiss the earth,
My soul hangs in the air,
The silence heavy, tethering me
To its vast expanse.

I've fought the storms, the endless tide,
Leaving shores where illusions severed my ties,
Tried to mend what silence unraveled,
Tried to make my broken heart feel whole.

Each step toward the truth—
Tests my resolve,
On jagged road beneath my feet.
The love for the divine—
A two-edged sword—
Helped me slay my inner self,
Bled me dry as I drank illusions' wine.
Still, through this pain, I found the way,
A path unseen, glowing with truth's light.

Mind calls me from the shadows,
Sweet and soft—
A siren's song that once lured me.
But I've learned that yielding to the mind's song
Only leads to another war with itself.

So here I stand, at the edge of the horizon,
Where love and loss collide as one.
I let the wind scatter my whispers into infinity—
This is where I dissolve into eternal silence,
Becoming the echo of the divine.
