At The Point Of Farewell (After First Dinner Date) Poem by james watkin

At The Point Of Farewell (After First Dinner Date)

Prepared for darkness, and being enswathed
Of moper's night-damps
Light-headed, through a starred passage
Of mind-affixed lamps

Sets out. Through what of it diffuses
Soft effectual light
Bewitching, fateful, for eyed love.
Haunting homeward flight!

All that you have left me with
All that he takes away
What of the far, unfamiliar will
Forever with him stay.
The coward, who chanced explore!
The home-hid, in a daze
Before what enchanting scenes
Then found him; to amaze.
A silent place above all.
Kept its secrets misted.
But goldenly, intrigue more:
Like some shrine's; mountain-led.
