At The Retirement Village Poem by james watkin

At The Retirement Village

He wants to hop, she wants to skip
And together, they want to jump.
One and all, out of a staid function;
Hunched and stiff and plump.

You see, the child was not expelled
Altogether from its past!
Reprimanded for childishness only;
For wanting itself to last.
