Athiest Poem by Michelle Asswit

Athiest

Anticipating an answer from an entity
Waiting every night carefully
To hear a whisper from the air
That surrounds me everywhere
I've been told to just wait
I've been told to just pray
And soon enough things will go my way
years and years of trying this method
Reasons why I do this have been forgotten
I still haven't heard even a whisper from him
So I start to ponder on why I have faith
I could be foucusing on something else
Like actually doing something about my mistake
