Auld Lang Syne (Old Treasured Memories) Poem by Parijat Banerjee

Auld Lang Syne (Old Treasured Memories)

Rating: 5.0

Auld Lang Syne

It was really hard to bid farewell to you.
Still, I was perhaps, left with no other choice.
The old fond memories nullified and crippled just with the advent of fire -
Before I could toss them aside, far into the air to rejoice!

Well, I meant to see you one last time for the sake of our attachment and the auld lang syne..
I don't blame you though, but I know -
It was possibly you who hurried too much to cross the lifeline!

Let me till cherish those bedtime stories that we shaped together at once...
Before the star may slip through the eternity to catch hold of the leftover wine!
