Aunt Bear Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Aunt Bear

Aunt Bear

Talking of the fables
There is one in Persian:
"Friendship of Aunt Bear."

Is funny and simple
Strange, yet, lesson.

A man worked in the woods;
Used his axe to cut wood.

Man had a Bear-friend.

Friendship grew too strong,
And they shared lot of time
To chat and speak long.

Once, the man laid for nap
In shadow of tree
The bear watched as a guard.

Came fly, whizzed around
And landed on the man.

Bear tried to hush it
Catch the bug, crush it.

But fly was smart
Not just that, too small.

Times and times the efforts
Of the bear, went to waste.

Bear took a huge rock
And smashed on fly.

But fly was on man;
So, lost life in snap.

The dumb bear killed friend
With its wrong decision
I see same in US president.
