Autumn Poem by Stefanie Fontker

Autumn

These pieces of skin
Fall like leaves in
The most precious season
Where I often observe
The Earth destroy itself
Mother Nature is immortal
I've watched her commit
The prettiest suicide
Only to resurrect herself
I hope to one day
Follow in her footsteps
And perhaps join her church
But for now I promise
To remain here, falling
Apart, burning in this fire
Baking in the heat of
My delirious want for you

Reminds me of John Keats`s ODe To Autumn--Seasons of mists and mellow fruitfulness, close bottom.....sun..very well done and well written.Mother Nature is really immortal in your verses for the baby born as autumn in your poem here.Bravo!
