Autumn Poem by Skylark Woodrow

Autumn

Can you feel it?
Zephyrs waft across the land;
The unmistakable scents of autumn imbued within them.
They ripple across the grass so that it mimics the sea;
Kiss each leaf before taking their hands and guiding them to the ground,
Whisper to the flowers that summer has drawn to an end.
They twine themselves within my hair and caress my very bones,
Awakening a longing inside of me,
A longing to go home.
