Autumn Aspect Poem by Grace Diane Jessen

Autumn Aspect

Rating: 5.0

How much my soul would miss if I
Could not view these fields, this sky!

White horses stand before a blaze
Of ripened leaves; a smoky haze
Spins cobweb ties from tree to hill;
Dark swallows dart above a mill;
A cobalt sky yawns wide and deep
With clumps of cloud like scattered sheep;
A pasture soaked in verdant green;
A weathered fence that frames the scene.

For sights like this, I offer praise
To Him who made these autumn days
And thank the Lord for eyes to see
His hands' creative majesty.

I really think you meant 'Thanks for the dessert', but maybe, to you, she was describing a desert.
