Autumn On The Farm Poem by Marilyn Lott

The reason they have pumpkin patches
Are so little kids who live in town
Can see the colors, smells and love
And hear all the wonderful country sounds.

Farm equipment all most done for the year
Except for some last minute cleaning
The tractor and all its implements
Scrubbed till they are bright and gleaming.

Then stored in the big barns or the sheds
Will the farmer then get a break?
No, there are always the animals, remember?
Not a day that the farmer can take.

But autumn is absolutely beautiful to me
Awesome colors simply everywhere
So take some time and go out to the farm
No doubt you will find me there!
