Avoiding Confrontation
A tightness filling my chest, strangling my will,
pushing me forward where I don't want to go.
Intensely trying to avoid confrontation, yet
resigning myself to the facts instead.
Letting go eventually, so I may proceed with
moments of life as they come to me.
