Avoiding Life Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Avoiding Life

Flights of imagination soar into the night, taking dreams with
them into the reality of an awakening enlightenment, feeling
so comfortable in corners of fantasies.

Not wanting to retreat from them, thinking they are fulfilling
their emptiness inside, yet they wander through life feeling
lonely, empty and abandoned, because in reality they've avoid-
ed their lives for an illusion.
