Awaits Death Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Awaits Death

Rating: 5.0

I preferred to be quiet
Even though I was revolutionary poet
I was respected in close circle
As I always stood by them in struggle

I thought as literary figure
What poet can make sure?
About pain or sorrow
Or about tomorrow

I had no answer
As I was to feel cool under shower
My worries had kept on toe
I had question about what to do or where to go?

I have experienced hot sun
It had made me to run
For earning bread
To remain as well read

It all came in bundles
I did not consider them as hurdles
They were part of struggle
Another name for never ending troubles

So I write confidently
Touch the heart deliberately
Discuss the issues in depth
As I believe” Life always awaits death “
