Awaken From The Veil Of Illusion Poem by Mohammad Younus

Awaken From The Veil Of Illusion

Awaken from the veil of illusion,
Push your illusions far away—
Forget the false gods and fleeting deities
that crumbled with yesterday.
Let the sunbeam's gentle touch
pierce the shadows within,
whispering truths no mirage can say.

It serves you little to adore
the vanishing beauty of the mundane,
for the colors of this world,
though vivid, are destined to fade.

Do not chase beauty
with gazelle eyes entranced,
nor let your heart race after shadows.
Hold fast, lest they lead you astray—
those who turn your gaze from the One
whose presence never wanes.

You are only human,
and it is the way of humankind
to be ensnared by the shimmering veil.
But awaken, before time slips quietly past,
and the book of history
forgets to write your name.

You are not to blame—
you, tender traveler, born into—
a world of passing dreams.
Yet even in the embrace of illusions,
there echoes a call—
Udnu minni! Udnu minni! —
One thousand times—come closer!
Return to the essence you have always been.
