Awakened Poem by Jennifer Foisy

We lay side by side,
As I lay completely empty,
I feel so un-alive,
But then a slight breath from your mouth runs down my shoulder
Sends shiver down my spine
And for a moment I feel alive
I can breathe again
Even if just for a moment
But then the moment fades
The slight chill turns to frost
And your arm that was once draped over me
Now passes completely through me
And I fade into the nothingness once again.
