As your hands touch me
As your lips graze my neck
I am falling
My thoughts are elsewhere
My body is elsewhere
Yet you keep going
Knowing I am not here
You keep going through the motions
Knowing it will destroy me
Knowing what I’m thinking
Knowing the questions I am afraid to ask
Knowing the answers I need to hear yet will destroy me
Because left unasked I am stuck
The music of my life is imperfect
And it refuses to go on
Stuck forever on that one sad love song
That one song that brings me to the floor in pain
I’m screaming in the silence for you
Screaming for you to find me
But I lay here naked on the floor
In so much pain I can’t bare to stand
Can’t bare to breathe
Can’t bare to live with or without you
