Hit me with a whiff of immortality,
Let me see the promised open Sky,
Down here on Earth,
There's nothing worth,
To see or even try,
But many reasons,
Just to say goodbye!

This poem surprised me! At first, I thought it as another Poem of Hope, then I realized your appeal that the heavens be opened is to set up a means of ESCAPE, with an implied sense of hopelessness. The world not only can't be changed - it will not change. But the vast majority of your poems are Poems of Engagement, not surrender, not giving up and escaping. But the voice of this poem is sincerely overtaxed by the negatives of the world. And when such a resilient voice as yours declares Away We Go, I assess what we would lose if it were to become silent.
