Babies Born With Short Straw Odds Poem by Terence George Craddock

Babies Born With Short Straw Odds

Rating: 5.0

babies born with life threatening
illnesses life threatening deformities
may but a single breath live transpire
immediately or experience ephemeral

brief moments brief tortured breaths
still born babies live not miscarried
in pregnancy during loss pregnancy
babies born with alcohol drug additions

babies curse born with damned parent
need alcohol drug use craving additions
curse cigarette nicotine puff addictions

smoke lives hunger lives starvation lives
heredity handicap lives poverty poor lives
not being God I cannot say if or how this is fair
