Baby Girl Poem by Donna McCord

Baby Girl

Little baby girl, so tiny and sweet
Small fisted hands and tiny little feet
Dream on and smile, your future is bright
Long anticipated joy has arrived tonight

Your special delivery has completed the dream
That your mom and dad’s had for years it seems
There are little pink slippers and lacy hair bows
To complete the ensemble of your pretty clothes

There’s an extended family ready to lend a hand
And the best Grandparents in the entire land
You’ll be cuddled and held and kissed on the cheek
And someone will come running each time you weep

So sleep well baby girl, you have a wonderful life
Your mom and dad will keep you safe tonight
Have sweet dreams, there is nothing to fear
Whatever you need it will be right here.
