Bachelor's Wish Poem by Frank Adie

Bachelor's Wish

Bachelor's Wish

This statuesque black lady,
Is the woman I would marry;
I have found something good,
I can now vacate bachelorhood;
To join my married ancestor,
In sucking that spousal nectar.

All married men pay their fees,
But not all drink marriage to the lees;
Nope to divorce, is the usual advice,
But most spouse tend to do the reverse;
I would not go in and hurry out,
I would hang on no matter what;

O Lord, grant me grace to always stand,
Whenever this woman makes me mad.
