Back In Time Poem by Jessica Subang

Back In Time

Rating: 4.5

How stupid am I
To let you go away.
I had you in my hands
But I let you run away.

I want you back,
But now it’s impossible.
I’ve already said goodbye
And now your love had turned to replaceable.

I want to go back in time
And fix all that was wrong.
Change all of my regrets
So your love will last long.

The regrets are what started it up
And they were my entire fault.
I was so immature,
I should act like an adult.

I had broken my own heart,
The moment I left you.
Now it’s too late
And I can’t have you.

I still love you
And everyone knows.
We are no longer together,
Because of what I do.

It was a bad decision,
But now I want you here.
Never far away,
Always near.

So please come back
And catch me when I fall.
Because I need you right now
More than anything at all.

The past is meant to be learned from, move on and forget it. Don't regret the decisions you made in the past, you can't deny that you've made them. If there's a way of correcting it, do so and /or move on.

Give time and space...If both of you are really meant for each other love will always a way.. Just keep holding on.

Maybe holding on is not the only way. Maybe letting go is the other option. AND IT'S SAD TO ACCEPT IT. But thanks for reading and also for appreciating.

A replica of the story of my ex and I. Love can be whimsical and temperamental, coming unannounced and may leave without warning. A beautiful poem, well articulated and insightfully penned from the heart. A nice piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. ➕9
